I just finished attending 4 days of technical blogging training at FinCon 2019, and I’m reeling. 🙂 I’m freaking out about All The Things in a VERY good way! In this post, I want to share with you some things I learned and noticed–things that apply to you whether you have any interest in blogging conferences or not. 🙂
First, why did I go to FinCon?
This was my second time attending FinCon. I went last year, too; and I wanted to attend again because:
- There’s SO much that I need to learn about blogging, podcasting, video creation, YouTube, Facebook, Insta, etc.; and they teach on that stuff during the breakout sessions. So, FinCon = education.
- I love getting inspired by the people who are doing much bigger things than I am. FinCon = inspiration.
- The biggest and most important reason: I love to learn from people who make more money than I do. They clearly know something about business that I don’t know yet. So, if somebody who just sold a blog for a million dollars is going to speak on how it’s done, I’m going to listen. 🙂 FinCon = group mentoring.
